Summer 2021 Internship Program

The Free the Facts (FtF) Summer Internship Program provides college students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year with the opportunity to assist our team with a wide range of activities, including marketing/communications, social media, research projects, and leadership program development.

 

In order to be eligible for the FtF Internship Program, an applicant must:

  1. Be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled in - and in good academic standing with - an accredited post-secondary institution;
  2. Have a strong interest in public policy, public affairs, and/or government/politics;
  3. Be able to identify 2-3 individuals who can serve as references and attest to the applicant’s suitability for the activities and requirements associated with the internship opportunity; and  
  4. Be available to work 20 hours per week from June 9, 2021 through August 6, 2021.

Please note: Free the Facts runs four leadership programs: the Ambassador, Intern, Scholar, and Fellow Programs. While participation in the Ambassador Program is not required in order to apply for an FtF internship, we do give Ambassadors “in good standing” priority review in the admissions process. If you are interested in an  FtF internship, we highly recommend that you consider applying for the Ambassador Program.

 

Summer 2021 Program Details

Free the Facts’ summer leadership programs will begin on June 9th and end on August 6th, 2021. 

 

In light of ongoing concerns about COVID-19, interns will work remotely, completing projects at the direction of FtF staff members. Interns will receive a competitive stipend of $850 a month and are expected to work up to 20 hours a week.

 

During their tenure, interns have access to our professional network and exclusive programs and events that are only available to individuals participating in FtF’s leadership programs.

 

Application Process & Evaluation

Applications are judged based upon the candidate’s interest in - and commitment to - Free the Facts' mission of sharing reliable policy information with Americans ages 14 to 35 and empowering them to participate in civic debate and public policy reform. In addition, applicants are assessed based on their resume, professional credentials, and ability to help meet organizational goals. Applications for Summer 2021 will close on April 2nd.
